Victor Osimhen Reflects on First Goals for Galatasaray in Dramatic Draw Against Kasimpasa

Victor Osimhen, the Super Eagles striker, expressed mixed emotions after scoring his inaugural goals for Galatasaray in a thrilling 3-3 draw against Kasimpasa at Rams Park.

Since his loan transfer from Napoli this summer, Osimhen has been viewed as a key addition to Galatasaray. Expectations were high for the 25-year-old, especially following his impressive performance in Serie A. However, despite providing four assists in his first three matches, he had not yet found the back of the net.

That changed on Saturday when Osimhen opened the scoring in the 20th minute and quickly added another goal just eight minutes later. Unfortunately, he was forced to leave the game at halftime due to an injury, and Galatasaray struggled in the second half, ultimately settling for a draw.

Following the match, Osimhen took to social media to share his feelings about his performance. He expressed pride in scoring two goals but also conveyed disappointment over the team’s inability to secure a win.

“It was an honor to score twice today, but I’m disappointed that we couldn’t clinch the victory. We gave it our all, and I believe we will emerge stronger as a team,” Osimhen stated on Instagram.

He also extended gratitude to the fans for their unwavering support. “Dear Galatasaray fans, your encouragement means everything to us. We will continue to fight to make you proud. Thank you for your cheers and incredible love. This is just the beginning!”

Osimhen hopes his injury is not severe, allowing him to return to action promptly. Galatasaray’s next challenge will be a Europa League match against RFS.
