Tinubu Celebrates Ibrahim Babangida’s 83rd Birthday

Former Lagos State Governor and All Progressives Congress (APC) chieftain, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, extended warm felicitations to former Military President General Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida (IBB) on the occasion of his 83rd birthday. Tinubu acknowledged Babangida’s significant contributions to Nigeria’s infrastructure and governance.

The President, in a statement issued by his Media Adviser, Ajuri Ngelale, praised the former head of state on this special occasion, noting his endeavours towards the development of the nation, especially in infrastructure and otherwise, notably the completion of the Third Mainland Bridge which at the time was the longest bridge in Africa.

IBB, who led Nigeria from 1985 to 1993, remains a prominent figure in the country’s political history. His administration oversaw key infrastructural projects, economic reforms, and diplomatic engagements. Tinubu’s message highlights the importance of recognizing leaders who have shaped Nigeria’s trajectory.
