Thiago Motta kicked Off His Juventus Reign with a Comfortable Win Over Fabregas’ Como

Juventus easily won 3-0 against Como, promoted by Cesc Fabregas, in Thiago Motta’s first official game in charge of the club.

Belgian forward Samuel Mbangula and American winger Timothy Weah both scored in a dominant first half, before Andrea Cambiaso added a third in extra time.
Motta, who led Bologna to the Champions League with a fourth-place finish in Serie A last season, joined Juventus following the departure of Massimiliano Allegri in May.
The Old Lady are looking for their first Serie A title in four years, while Como are back in the top division after a 21-year absence.
Fabregas – the former Arsenal, Chelsea and Barcelona midfielder – took on the role of manager this season after serving as the club’s assistant coach during their promotion campaign last season. Mbangula, 20, who was making his Juventus debut, opened the scoring with a fine shot from the edge of the area.
The hosts doubled their lead late in the first half when Weah converted Kenan Yildiz’s cross for his first goal of the season.
Italy’s Cambiaso, 24, sealed victory in added time with a superb shot into the bottom left corner.
Juventus travel to Verona for their next Serie A match on August 26, while Como travel to Cagliari.
