Schade’s Hat-Trick Shines as Germany International Leads Brentford Past Ndidi’s Leicester City
Kevin Schade delivered a standout performance on Saturday as Brentford secured an emphatic 4-1 victory over Leicester City in a Premier League clash at the Gtech Community Stadium. The German international played a pivotal role, scoring a sensational hat-trick and providing an assist to help the Bees continue their strong form this season.
Leicester City, under caretaker manager Ben Dawson following the dismissal of Steve Cooper, struggled to find answers against Brentford’s relentless attack. Dawson restored Wilfred Ndidi to his familiar defensive midfield position, but the Nigerian international was unable to contain Schade’s dominance.
Leicester initially took the lead in the 21st minute through Facundo Buonanotte, but Brentford quickly responded. Four minutes later, Schade set up Yoane Wissa for the equalizer. The German forward then scored twice before halftime, first in the 30th minute and again in injury time, with Mikkel Damsgaard providing the assist for his second goal.
Schade completed his first Premier League hat-trick on the hour mark with a clinical finish, further demonstrating his exceptional ability in front of goal. Despite moments of resistance from Ndidi and the Leicester defense, the Foxes fell to their seventh league defeat of the season, unable to counter Brentford’s attacking prowess.
Schade’s International Career
Born in Potsdam, Germany, to a Nigerian father and a German mother, Schade was eligible to represent Nigeria but ultimately committed to playing for Germany. He made his debut for Die Mannschaft in October during a UEFA Nations League match against the Netherlands, officially cap-tying him to the German national team. Schade entered the match in the 77th minute as a substitute for an injured Robin Koch, contributing to Germany’s 1-0 victory.
