Nigeria may soon lose the opportunity to secure Samuel Omorodion as the talented 20-year-old is set to be considered for a call-up to the Spanish senior national team during the upcoming international break.

Since joining FC Porto from a previous agreement with Chelsea that fell through at the last moment, Omorodion has excel on the pitch, netting four goals in his first four matches. His outstanding performances have placed him in contention for a spot in Luis de la Fuente’s squad.

Having been born and raised in Spain, Omorodion has progressed through various Spanish youth teams and participated in the 2024 Olympics. While there has been speculation regarding his potential switch to represent Nigeria, given his Nigerian heritage, these discussions have yet to materialize into a formal move.
