Nigerian actor and movie producer, Chris Bassey, has revealed his decision to leave the Nollywood film industry to pursue a career in plumbing in Canada.

Bassey made this announcement during an Instagram Live interview with media personality, Daddy Freeze. He explained that his new profession not only offers better financial rewards but also provides a more relaxed lifestyle compared to tech jobs.

When asked about his new career path, Bassey shared, “I’m involved in construction here; I work as a plumber.” He went on to highlight the significant financial benefits of the switch, stating that over the last seven months, he has been able to travel across various Canadian provinces, an experience he claims most tech professionals in Canada cannot afford.

In response to the financial advantages of his new role, Bassey said, “I’m not exaggerating. I can’t speak for the US, but here in Canada, the pay in construction, especially plumbing, surpasses many tech jobs.
