The Chairman, C.E.O. of the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NiDCOM), Hon. Dr. Abike Dabiri-Erewa, hosted the newly crowned Miss Universe Nigeria 2024, Chidinma Adetshina, at the commission’s Lagos office on Tuesday.

Chidinma Adetshina, representing Taraba State, emerged victorious in the Miss Universe Nigeria 2024 competition, besting 24 other contestants at the grand finale held at Eko Hotel and Suites. The 23-year-old beauty queen, who recently garnered attention for her withdrawal from the Miss South Africa pageant amid controversy over her Nigerian heritage, was a standout favorite throughout the competition, securing the most votes.

With her new title, Adetshina is set to represent Nigeria at the Miss Universe 2024 pageant later this year in Mexico.
