Lagos APC Chieftain Ramota Bankole Passes Away After Hajj in Saudi Arabia
The Lagos chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) is in mourning following the sudden and unfortunate death of Ramota Bankole, a former welfare secretary and prominent women’s leader from Epe Division. Ms. Bankole passed away while performing the Hajj pilgrimage in Saudi Arabia, leaving her community in shock and grief.
APC spokesman Seye Oladejo expressed deep sorrow over her passing, stating, “Her death is most shocking and unfortunate. She was a committed and experienced party leader.”
Epe LGA Chairman, Surah Animashaun, confirmed the news on Thursday, noting that Bankole was in good health before her pilgrimage. “It is with a heavy heart and a deep sense of grief that I received the news of Alhaja Ramota Bankole’s death. It was a sad day indeed, as I learned she died in the holy land of Mecca while on a holy pilgrimage,” Animashaun said.
Offering condolences, Animashaun extended sympathies to the Bankole family, APC members, and the people of Epe. “We mourn the loss of our dear sister and mummy,” she added, highlighting the impact Bankole had on her community and party.
The passing of Ramota Bankole marks a significant loss for the Lagos APC and her community, who remember her dedication and leadership.
