Kano State Governor, Abba Yusuf, expressed shock over a devastating fire incident that claimed the lives of three siblings. The victims included the daughter, older sister, and a close relative of the Commissioner for Higher Education, Dr. Yusuf Ibrahim Kofar Mata. The incident occurred at the commissioner’s residence in Kofar Mata quarters within Kano metropolitan.

In a press statement released on Thursday, the governor’s spokesperson, Sanusi Bature Dawakin Tofa, conveyed the governor’s heartfelt condolences to the grieving commissioner and his family. The tragedy has left a lasting impact, and the governor prayed that Allah grants eternal rest to the departed souls and prevents such disasters in the future.

Governor Yusuf led members of the state executive council and other dignitaries to the funeral rites of the deceased family members at Kofar Mata quarters. The loss is deeply felt, and the community mourns alongside the commissioner and his family during this difficult time.
