Governor Fubara: Nigeria’s Success Hinges on Supporting the President

In a recent statement, Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, emphasized the critical role of citizen support for the President in ensuring Nigeria’s success. Speaking during a courtesy visit from the House of Representatives Committee on Reformatory Institutions, Governor Fubara highlighted the interconnectedness of national and state success.

“Nigeria will only succeed when we support the President,” Fubara stated. “If Nigeria fails, everybody fails. The sub-nationals, like Rivers State, and any other state will also fail.”

Governor Fubara’s remarks come at a time when the nation is grappling with various challenges, including economic growth and institutional reforms. He stressed the importance of unity and collective effort in overcoming these hurdles, urging citizens to rally behind President Bola Tinubu’s administration.

Fubara also addressed the issue of overcrowded correctional centers, calling for more efficient judicial processes. He noted that delays in trials contribute significantly to the problem and urged the Nigeria Police Force and the judiciary to expedite investigations and legal proceedings.

“Institutions like the Police Force and the Judiciary must function effectively to decongest correctional centers and dispense justice promptly,” he said.

The Governor’s call for support underscores the need for a unified approach to governance and development, highlighting that the success of individual states is intrinsically linked to the overall success of the nation.
