Endrick shines on Real Madrid debut as Ancelotti’s side claim first La Liga win of the season in a hard-fought battle against Real Valladolid.

The reigning champions faced a challenging contest during Kylian Mbappe’s home debut, but found their rhythm in the latter stages, following Federico Valverde’s breakthrough in the second half.

Brahim Diaz, coming off the bench, doubled the lead in the 88th minute, receiving a well-placed long ball from Eder Militao before calmly lifting it over Valladolid goalkeeper Karl Hein.

The victory was sealed in added time when 18-year-old striker Endrick powered a shot inside the near post, capping off a convincing performance.

Valverde had shifted the game’s momentum in the 50th minute with a low shot that deflected off Stanko Juric, leaving Hein with no chance. Prior to that, Real Madrid had struggled to break down Valladolid’s resolute defense, which successfully limited space and kept threats from Mbappe, Vinicius Jr, and Rodrygo largely in check.

As Valladolid pressed for an equalizer, more gaps began to appear, allowing Madrid to counter more effectively. Despite several strong runs, Mbappe was unable to find the back of the net on his home debut.

Following a 1-1 draw with Mallorca in their opening La Liga match, Madrid next face Las Palmas on Thursday.

Endrick Makes an Impact in His Madrid Debut

Brazilian prodigy Endrick made his long-awaited debut for Real Madrid, playing just over 10 minutes but leaving an immediate impression. The forward, who officially joined the club in July after agreeing to the move in December 2022, lived up to the high expectations surrounding him.

Replacing Mbappe in the 86th minute, Endrick brought renewed energy to the pitch, demonstrating impressive decision-making and cohesion with his teammates. His confident performance, following his recent arrival from Palmeiras, showed why he is considered one of football’s brightest young talents, adding a touch of class to an otherwise tense and scrappy game.
