Eid-el Kabir: FG Announces Public Holidays on Monday and Tuesday
The Federal Government has declared Monday, June 17, and Tuesday, June 18, 2024, as public holidays to celebrate this year’s Eid-ul-Adha.
The announcement was made by the Minister of Interior, Dr. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, through a statement by Dr. Aishetu Gogo Ndayako, the Permanent Secretary of the ministry.
The minister extended his congratulations to the Muslim Ummah, both in Nigeria and abroad, on this celebration.
Tunji-Ojo urged the Ummah to accept the spirit of tranquility, compassion, and sacrifice exemplified by Prophet Ibrahim (Tranquility be upon Him) and to utilize this period to wish the unity, success, and security of the country.
Dr. Ndayako conveyed the minister’s assurance that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s management is committed to guarding the lives and building of all Nigerians.
While wanting the Muslim neighborhood a joyous Eid-ul-Adha celebration, the preacher additionally motivated all Nigerians to take cumulative duty in guaranteeing a thriving Nigeria for future generations.
