Businesses Paralyzed as 10-Hour Downpour Wreaks Havoc in Lagos and Ogun

A relentless 10-hour downpour on Wednesday brought business and commercial activities to a standstill in many parts of Lagos and Ogun states.
The torrential rain led to severe flooding, causing a two-storey building to collapse in Lagos’ Mushin area and halting vehicular movement across major roads. Thousands of residents were overwhelmed, and many pupils were unable to attend school.
While the Lagos State government reported the rain lasted for nine hours, several areas, including Berger, Ikeja, and Ogba, experienced rainfall from midnight until noon, totaling 12 hours in some locations. In other parts, the downpour persisted for 10 hours, exacerbating the flooding and its impacts.
