BREAKING: Ondo State youths withdraws out of hunger protests
Ondo State youths have decided to withdraw from the hunger protests. The decision comes hours before the commencement of the #EndBadGovernance protest in the country to address food insecurity and rising prices.

The Concerned Revolutionary Youths has called off a planned protest scheduled for August 1, citing progress made in addressing the nation’s challenges.
According to the group’s State Secretary, Ogundipe Seyi Olaniyi, the decision was reached following interventions by prominent individuals in the state. In a press briefing at the NUJ Press Centre in Akure, Olaniyi emphasized that the protest had already yielded some desired outcomes, making it unnecessary to proceed.
He clarified that the group’s stance was not influenced by financial inducements or intimidation. “The planned protest has already achieved some of its aims as President Ahmed Bola Tinubu has taken some proactive measures to address many of the issues raised by the organisers,” Olaniyi said.
He further disclosed, “We have written to our counterparts across the country of our intent to pull out of the protest and continue to dialogue with the government on issues of concern to Nigerians.” The group has also formally notified security agencies and relevant authorities of its decision.
