Controversial crossdresser Idris Okuneye, popularly known as Bobrisky, recently shared insights into his time at the Kirikiri Correctional Centre. The 33-year-old Instagram celebrity was sentenced to six months in prison for abusing the naira currency and was released on August 5, 2024.

In an interview on the “Curiosity Made Me Ask” podcast with Bae U, Bobrisky explained that his prison experience felt more like a vacation, allowing him much-needed rest. He humorously rejected the label of “ex-convict,” asserting that he couldn’t be convicted for merely spraying money. Instead, he referred to himself as an “ex-man” due to his past identity before transitioning.

According to him, his incarceration, which he likened to a movie, occurred because some people wanted to break him. Despite this, he remains unapologetic about his actions and plans to continue spraying money at events—though he clarified it would be in dollars, not naira. Interestingly, he also disclosed that he was locked in the male section of the correctional center, where he felt more comfortable and received friendly treatment from fellow inmates.
