Bobrisky Allegedly Begged Falz for ₦3 Million to Secure VIP Prison Section

Popular Nigerian rapper and activist, Folarin Falana, widely known as Falz, has revealed that controversial social media personality, Idris Okuneye, also known as Bobrisky, approached him for financial assistance. According to Falz, Bobrisky requested a sum of ₦3 million to secure a VIP section at a correctional facility.

The revelation came to light following a statement issued by Falz’s legal team, Falana & Falana Chambers, in response to defamatory claims made by Martins Vincent Otse, popularly known as VeryDarkMan. The legal team demanded a retraction of the statements that suggested Falz had conspired with Bobrisky to influence the outcome of his legal troubles.

In the statement, Falz’s lawyer, Taiwo E. Olawanle, detailed the sequence of events, clarifying that Bobrisky had indeed reached out to Falz on May 4, 2024, seeking advice. However, instead of legal counsel, Bobrisky allegedly requested financial assistance to pay officials for a VIP section in the correctional facility. Falz firmly rejected the request, advising that no payments were necessary.

The controversy has sparked widespread discussion on social media, with many questioning the ethics and legality of such requests. Bobrisky, who has faced multiple legal challenges this year, including charges related to currency abuse, has yet to respond to these latest allegations.
