AP Candidate Challenges Aiyedatiwa to Account for #65.6 Billion from Federation Account
The governorship candidate of the Accord Party (AP) in Ondo State, Dr. Ajibola Falaiye, has called on Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa to provide an account of the #65.6 billion that accrued to the state government from the federation account. Despite these substantial resources, the state continues to face underdevelopment.
Falaiye emphasized the need for transparency, stating that the over four million citizens of Ondo State deserve to know how their money has been utilized. He criticized the mismanagement of funds, including the diversion of grants meant for artisans.
In addition to demanding accountability, Falaiye outlined his plans if elected as governor. These include empowering Amotekun to protect farmers, employing agronomists to develop agriculture, and establishing government farmlands in each local government area. He also stressed the importance of local government autonomy.
