Super Eagles forward Ademola Lookman has issued a warning to Arsenal, stating that he and his Atalanta teammates are fully charged ahead of their Champions League opener on Thursday.

Returning to action over the weekend, Lookman impressed fans with both a goal and an assist in Atalanta’s thrilling 3-2 victory over Fiorentina in Serie A at the Gewiss Stadium.

With Arsenal next in line, Lookman believes Atalanta, buoyed by their home advantage, have what it takes to overcome the London side, despite Arsenal’s stronger squad on paper.

“Arsenal are a very strong team, and I know what to expect from them. Playing against a team of that level is always a difficult challenge, but we are ready,” Lookman said in an interview with Tutto Atalanta.

“We earned our spot in the Champions League through our excellent performances last season, and we are determined to show that we deserve to be here.”
