Ademola Lookman Joins Super Eagles Camp Following Transfer Dispute
Despite a recent clash with Atalanta, forward Ademola Lookman has joined several key players such as William Ekong, Ola Aina, and Taiwo Awoniyi at the Super Eagles training camp in Uyo, which officially opened today.
Among the early arrivals are Semi Ajayi, South African-based defender Olisa Ndah, and Fisayo Dele-Bashiru.
Lookman had been in discussions to join French champions PSG, having agreed on personal terms. However, his transfer was blocked by his current Italian club. This situation has raised concerns about his mental readiness, especially as he has yet to feature in Serie A this season.
Sources revealed that the full squad is expected to be complete later today, with interim coach Augustine Eguavoen also making his way to Uyo.
The Super Eagles are set to face Benin on Saturday, followed by a match against Rwanda in Kigali next Tuesday.
